Area Boys Soccer: Hornets open tournament with tie, win

BAXTER-Jake Borders tallied three goals in two games for the Lake Region Christian Hornets, who opened their Paul Bunyan Tournament with a tie and a win Friday, Sept. 21.

Borders and Isaac Grad netted goals for the Hornets in an opening 2-2 tie with Trek North.

Borders added two first-half scores in a 3-0 win over St. Francis later Friday afternoon. Jonas Boelter added an insurance goal in the second half.

Lake Region plays Woodcrest 10:30 a.m. Saturday in the final game of the tournament.
