Area Boys Soccer: Lake Region drops 1, ties in 2nd tourney game

ST. FRANCIS -- Soren Benson recorded two goals for the Lake Region Christian School Hornets both on assists from Phil Imdieke as they fell 7-2 to St. Francis Christian Academy in Game One of the St. Francis Tournament Friday, Sept. 27.

In Game Two, Jake Borders netted two goals for the Hornets as they split 3-3 with Cambridge.

Also scoring for the Hornets in Game Two was Benson on an assist from Trey Ogren. Borders’ first goal was assisted by Imdieke, his second was unassisted.

Goalkeeper Josiah McGaffey totaled 30 saves for the Hornets in the tournament.
