Area Boys Soccer: Lake Region places third in Tournament

ROSEMOUNT -- Lake Region Christian’s Jake Borders tallied three goals as the Hornets defeated Woodcrest 4-1 to take third place in the Minnesota Association of Christian Schools State Championship Tournament Saturday, Oct. 26.

Phil Imdieke recorded a goal and an assist in the game while Trey Ogren totaled two assists and Soren Benson one. Goalie Josiah McGaffey registered eight saves.

All-Conference First Team awards were given to the top 12 players in the conference which included both Borders and Benson. All-Conference Second team honors were awarded to Ogren and Imdieke.

Borders and Benson were also awarded MACS All-Tournament Team honors.
