ALEXANDRIA-Aitkin's dance team collected a first and a second, while Crosby-Ironton posted two top fours Saturday, Jan. 5 at the Alexandria Invite.
Aitkin won the kick competition with 3 rank points. C-I finished third in the Class 1A division out of 17 teams.
In jazz, Aitkin was second with six rank points followed by C-I in fourth with 13.
"I'm extremely proud of my team today," said C-I senior captain Maddie Midthun. "With all of the tough competition we competed against, we still got third place in kick and fourth place in jazz. Our hard work is definitely paying off and I honestly couldn't be any happier."
