HAWLEY-Crosby-Ironton left Saturday's Hawley Invitational with a second-place finish in kick and a third in jazz.

Frazee swept both divisions with Bagley third in kick. Pelican Rapids finished fourth.

In Jazz, Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton placed second with Pelican Rapids fourth and Bagley fifth.

"Our performances were the best of the season against 11 other teams, most of whom are in our section," said C-I head coach Amy Turk. "We are very excited with how we executed both routines.

"In kick, we performed last so had large support from the crowd and other teams, who loved our Mario routine. One judge scored all the teams very low, which brought our total points down, but no doubt we have improved each week.

"In kick, our total was 348 and jass 289. Bagley and Pelican are close in scores so it will be a tough section as only the top three can go in kick and top four in jazz."
