WADENA — The Pierz and Crosby-Ironton high kick teams are state bound following the Section 4-1A Tournament Saturday, Feb. 1.
Pierz finished second and C-I was third following a tiebreaker after the two teams tied with 13 rank points.
Frazee won both the kick and jazz competitions. The top three teams in each division advance to the state tournament Saturday, Feb. 15, at the Target Center in Minneapolis.
Pierz and C-I just missed third place in jazz when they tied for fourth with 20 rank points behind third-place Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton’s 16.

Jazz: 1-Frazee (5 rank points), 2-Duluth Marshall (10 rank points), 3-Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton (16 rank points), 4(tie)-Crosby-Ironton, Pierz (20 rank points).
Kick: 1-Frazee (5 rank points), 2-Pierz (13 rank points), 3-Crosby-Ironton (13 rank points).
Next: Crosby-Ironton and Pierz in Class 1A State Tournament Saturday, Feb. 15 at Target Center.
