STAPLES - Jake Swendsrud threw for 295 yards and four touchdowns in the Staples-Motley Cardinals 56-42 loss to Frazee Friday.
Swendsrud hit on 15-of-22 passes in the Heart O'Lakes Classic Conference clash.
Mason Rychner caught three of those passes for 106 yards. Brady Becker caught four passes for 76 yards and two touchdowns. John Lund caught two passes for six yards and a score and Jake Miller caught three passes for 57 yards and a score.
Hunter Beggren finished with eight tackles, one forced fumble and two fumble recoveries, returning one for a 69-yard touchdown return. He also led the Cardinals with 44 rushing yards and scored on a 10-yard run.
