Verndale junior Craig Orlando was named to the Nine-Man Football All-State Team by Nine-Man football coaches.
Orlando, who was selected at the defensive line position, joins Ethan Matzke (Spring Grove), Drake Harder (Mountain Lake), Tanner Bitzan (Brandon-Evansville), Cameron Cahoon (Cromwell), Noah Klemetson (Norman County East-Ulen-Hitterdal), Nelson Schmidt (Wheaton/Herman-Norcross), Hunter Yutrzenka (Stephen-Argyle), Drew Wyffels (Mabel-Canton), Trent Peterson (Kittson County Central), Joe Buffetta (Mountain Iron-Buhl).
Alex Folz (Spring Grove) was selected as one of four quarterbacks on the all-state offensive team. Others included Abraham Stoesz (Mountain Lake), Cooper Hanson (Russell-Tyler-Ruthton), and Josh Prom (Cook County).
Others earning spots on the all-state offense were Kannon Korpela (Cromwell), Joey Janke (Russell-Tyler Ruthton), Noah Elton (Spring Grove), Thomas Kaste (Underwood), Harrison Zeltwanger (Hancock) and Lucian Tinnes (Goodridge-Grygla).
Verndale's Jackson Weniger, Jarret Kveton, Matt Steege and Quinn Kern earned all-state honorable mention.

Those five, along with the Pirates' Gideon Ervasti, also earned All-Section 4, Nine-Man honors.
