WALKER - Zach Struss ran for two scores and passed for another for Class 1A's seventh-ranked Pine River-Backus Tigers in a 28-18 Northwest Subdistrict White win over the Walker-Hackensack-Akeley Wolves Friday.
Struss completed 16 of 31 passes for 191 yards.
The other touchdowns came on a 22-yard catch by Hank Raph and four-yard run by Chris Geschall.
The Tigers are undefeated at 6-0 overall and tied with Pillager for the Subdistrict lead. The two teams meet next Friday at Pillager.
