WADENA — Corra Endres hit the game-winning layup at the buzzer for the Wadena-Deer Creek Wolverines in a 35-34 non-conference win over the Park Rapids Panthers Friday, Feb. 26.

Lauryn Gravelle led W-DC with nine points while Endres and Nevada Schulz each contributed seven.

Katie Leidenfrost and Emily Dehler each added nine points for Pierz who improved to 7-5 in conference play.

PEQUOT LAKES — Afton Crocker scored a game-high 20 points as the Class 2A’s 19th-ranked Pequot Lakes Patriots jumped out to a 30-point lead at the half on their way to an 88-52 win over Moose Lake-Willow River Friday, Feb 26.

Isabel Larson finished with 17 points followed by Lauren Schultz with 12 as the Patriots improved to 10-1.

Olivia Adkins finished with 10 points and the Tigers fell to 9-3 overall.

The Hornets trailed by nine at the half and were unable to cut into the deficit in the second half and finished the regular season with a 9-8 record.
