Area Girls Basketball: Verndale wins decisively over Ashby

VERNDALE — Melissa Hammer scored 14 points and collected eight rebounds to lead the Verndale Pirates past the Ashby Arrows 57-27 in a non-conference game Monday, Dec. 16.

Madison Schmitz added 12 points for the Pirates, who shot 53% from the field (25-47) and held Ashby to just six points in the second half.
