Area Girls Golf: Stone, Pequot win at Ruttger's

DEERWOOD--Alex Stone shot a first-place 82 to lead the Pequot Lakes Patriots to first in Wednesday's Crosby-Ironton Invite at Ruttger's Bay Lake Lodge.

Anna Krieger shot an 89 for the Patriots.

Staples-Motley, led by Adriana Dickey's 94 and Bo Erholtz' 95, finished second.

Kami Athman's 97 paced Pierz to third and Crosby-Ironton placed fourth.

Earlier Wednesday, it was announced that Stone is on the 2017 Ms. Minnesota Golf watchlist along with 13 other senior candidates. This is the second season of the Mr. and Ms. Minnesota Golfer. The winners will be selected June 1 at Windsong Farm Golf Club in Independence.
