PARK RAPIDS-Pequot Lakes' Alex Stone tied for medalist honors and the Patriots finished second in Wednesday's South Subsection 8-2A tournament at Headwaters Golf Course.
Stone fired a 37 on the front nine and came in with a 38 on the back to tie at 75 with Detroit Lakes' Kate Smith.
Rounding out the Pequot scores were Bella Abear with a 92, Amanda Nies at 93 and Alex Nelson 99.
Fifth-place Wadena-Deer Creek qualified three to advance led by Gabi Ross who carded a 91. Jess Rondestvedt and McKayla Woods shot 95 and 96, respectively, for W-DC.
The top three teams and next six individuals not on those teams advance to the Section 8-2A tournament Monday at Bemidji Town and Country.
