Area Girls Hockey: Helseth's goal gives Blue Devils first Mid-State win

WADENA - AshLee Helseth netted the winning goal to give the Long Prairie-Grey Eagle/Wadena-Deer Creek Blue Devils their first Mid-State Conference win, 2-1 over the Park Rapids Panthers Tuesday.

WADENA - AshLee Helseth netted the winning goal to give the Long Prairie-Grey Eagle/Wadena-Deer Creek Blue Devils their first Mid-State Conference win, 2-1 over the Park Rapids Panthers Tuesday.

Helseth's goal came on a power play assisted by McKayla Woods with 2:25 left to play.

Taylor Sagen tallied the first Blue Devils' goal and goalie Angela Hans recorded 24 saves.
