BREEZY POINT - Carly Fyle found the net for the Northern Lakes Lightnings only goal in Tuesday's 3-1 Mid-State Conference loss to the Detroit Lakes Lakers.
Bella Abear and Hannah Zimmerman assisted on Fyle's score which gave the Lightning an early 1-0 lead before Hailey Sonstegard put in three straight goals to secure the Laker win.
Goalie Madison Galligan made 16 saves for the Lightning, who were outshot 19-14.

ALEXANDRIA - Class 1A's 11th-ranked Alexandria Cardinals lived up to their hype by pounding in six first-period goals on the their way to an 11-2 triumph over the Long Prairie-Grey Eagle/Wadena-Deer Creek Blue Devils in a Section 6-1A game Tuesday.
Kenzie Christianson and Ashlee Helseth netted goals for the Blue Devils.
