WILLMAR-Five different players netted goals for the Brainerd/Little Falls Warriors who closed out their regular season with a 5-2 Central Lakes Conference win over the Willmar Cardinals Tuesday, Feb. 5.
Class 2A's seventh-ranked Warriors captured the conference title with a perfect 9-0 record.
Abby Pohlkamp and Sophie Robinson opened the scoring in the first period for a 2-1 lead at the break. Willmar posted the only goal of the second.
Emma Booth punched in the game-winner at 9:02 of the third. Gabbie Smith added an insurance goal into an empty net at 16:22 and Olivia Wiskow put on an exclamation mark with three seconds remaining.
Goalie Olivia King recorded 11 saves for the Warriors, who outshot the Cards 42-13.
