Area Girls Soccer: Flyers shutout Melrose

LITTLE FALLS — Mikayla Houdek and Kendal Swantek each scored twice, but it was Taylor Jordan getting her first career goal that highlighted the Little Falls Flyers 5-0 Granite Ridge Conference victory over the Melrose Dutchmen Thursday, Oct. 1.

Houdek got the scoring going in the first half with Swantek netting a score to make it 2-0 Flyers at the half.

Swantek opened the second half with a goal assisted by Jordan, who then collected a rebound in front of the Melrose net to pound in her first varsity goal.

Ana Steadman made three saves to preserve the shutout for Little Falls.
