Area Girls Tennis: C-I gets 2 to quarterfinals

VIRGINIA — Crosby-Ironton’s Sydney Roberts and doubles team Ella Lewandowski-Monica Stokman both advanced to the Section 7-1A quarterfinals Monday, Oct. 18.

Roberts won her opening round match 6-3, 6-4 against Aitkin’s Macy Paulbeck. Lewandowski and Stokman won their first round match 7-5, 6-1.

Roberts fell in the quarterfinals 6-0, 6-0 to Eveleth-Gilbert’s Lydia Gilbert and Lewandowski-Stokman lost to Ava Fink-Ella Lamppa of Virginia 6-3, 6-2.
