STAPLES — Lauren Rutten and Allison Knosalla won in singles for the Staples-Motley Cardinals who edged the Crosby-Ironton Rangers 4-3 in a Mid-State Conference match Tuesday, Sept. 29.
Also winning for the Cards were their top two doubles teams of Jenna Dvorak-Haley Cichos and Georgia Kruchten-Rose Han.
Posting wins for C-I were Sydney Roberts and Margaret Silgen in singles and the doubles team of Natalja Tauzell-Isabelle Vignieri.

AITKIN — Julie Vetch and Hailey McDuffee posted a 6-1, 4-6, 6-1 win at No. 1 doubles for the Little Falls Flyers who defeated the Aitkin Gobblers 4-3 in a Granite Ridge Conference meet Tuesday, Sept. 29.
It was the second win in a row for the Flyers after starting the season 0-7. Aitkin drops to 0-10 despite getting wins from Macy Paulbeck, Madi Lehrer and the No. 2 doubles team of Sofie Ryan-Bree Voller.
