PEQUOT LAKES — Megan Muller, Carly Chaney, Riley Fogarty and Quinn Trottier finished off an undefeated season with wins in singles as No. 1 Pequot Lakes defeated No. 4 Pine City 5-2 in the Section 7-1A championship Monday, Oct. 12.
It was the second consecutive section title for the Patriots.
Pequot’s doubles teams only had four losses for the season. The No. 1 doubles team of Afton Crocker-Morgan Lueck were victorious with a 1-6, 7-5, 7-6(7-3) win.

Crosby-Ironton 4, Eveleth-Gilbert 3
EVELETH — Sydney Roberts and Margaret Silgen were both victorious in singles play as the No. 6 seeded Crosby-Ironton Rangers claimed the Section 7-1A consolation championship over No. 4 Eveleth-GIlbert Monday, Oct. 12.
Roberts won her match 6-0, 6-4 and Silgen followed her with a 6-2, 6-1 win.
The doubles team of Ellen Silgen-Isabelle Vignieri won in straight sets and Natalja Tanzell-Melanie Serverson closed out the match with a 7-5, 6-4 win.
The Rangers finished the season with a record of 9-6.
