VIRGINIA-The South Subsection's top-seeded Brittney Boser and Becky Langer of Pierz advanced to the semifinals of the Section 7-1A individual tournament before losing Tuesday.
Boser-Langer defeated Aitkin's Brynn Wilson-Heather Gaulke 6-3, 6-3 in the quarterfinals before losing 6-1, 6-1 to Virginia's Ava Warren-Anna Seitz in the semis.
Crosby-Ironton's Shelain Lewis-Kalina Spalj were defeated 6-1, 6-0 in the quarterfinals by the eventual champions and North top-seeded Maddi Jankila-Audrey Delich from Eveleth-Gilbert.

VIRGINIA-Rabeka Langer-Brittney Boser at No. 1 doubles defeated their opponents 6-1, 6-3 as the South No. 2 Pierz Pioneers fell 5-2 against the North No.1 Virginia Blue Devils in the Subsection 7-1A team tournament semifinals Monday.
Anessa Leidenfrost-Avy Lease won at No. 2 doubles for the Pioneers.
