MINNEAPOLIS — Madison Packer is the fifth-best singles player in Class 1A.
The Wadena-Deer Creek senior defeated Annika Harberts Ott of Providence Academy 6-1, 6-0 in the Class 1A State Consolation Championship Friday, Oct. 29.
In the consolation semifinals, Packer eliminated Park Rapids” Abby Morris 6-3, 6-2 to reach the final.
Packer finishes her senior season with a 25-7 record.
