SARTELL - Hannah Moen and Kennedy Rusk played two shutout sets at No. 1 doubles and every Warrior won in straight sets as Brainerd blanked the Sartell Sabres 7-0 in Friday's Central Lakes Conference meet played indoors at Fitness Evolution.
"We played solid, clean tennis today," said Brainerd head coach Lisa Salo. "We've had a long week with three away matches and we competed well all week. We're looking forward to some well deserved rest this weekend and then to all the Homecoming events next week."
The Warriors play Sartell again at Brainerd 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Salo said they are billing the event "Fill the Hill" as part of Homecoming Week. Fans are encouraged to come and watch from the hillside as the new tennis courts are showcased and that free popcorn will be served.
In JV play, Emily Price won at singles and Sarah Wiger-Hannah Spitzley were victorious in doubles.
