EAST GULL LAKE — Brainerd Eye Care and Edward Jones secured spots in the end-of-season championship by finishing first and second Thursday, June 23, in the first half of the men’s league standings at Cragun’s Legacy Courses.
Brainerd Eye Care won with 235 points followed by Edward Jones with 224.5 points.
Giovanni’s Pizza placed third with 223 points and Reichert Bus secured 220.5 points for fourth place.
Tyler Monda and Craig Kochsiek were low gross scorers while Rich Jones and Joe Mooney carded the low-net rounds.
Gary Lippo and Mike Toensing were closest to the pin and Dan Herr and Andrew Rainweiler made the longest putts.

Legacy women
EAST GULL LAKE — Amber Reece was a double winner Tuesday, June 21, during women’s night at Cragun’s Legacy Courses.
Reece made the longest putt and was closest to the pin on the Championship Course. Carrie Grillo also sank the longest putt and Nancy Lundeen was a closest-to-the-pin winner.
Mary Ambroz was closest to the pin on the Par 3 Course while Wendy Shamp made the longest putt.
Whitefish men
PEQUOT LAKES — The foursome of Don Faust, Jerry Moore, Mike Noll and Terry Stansfield won the two-ball best net game Tuesday, June 21, during the Whitefish Men’s League.
In second place for the first flight was the team of Gary Amundson, Duane Helfenstein and William Poole. Third place went to Steve Bloom, Tim Hubbard, Ron Kitzmann and James McKeehen.
Winning the second flight was the team of Scott Johnson, Arlen Stensby and Darrell Swanson. Mike Camahan, Jack Heidman, Sam Kantos and Dave Puelson. In third place was the team of Bob Beatty, Ed Bontrager, Chuck Hicks and Ric Rowe.
Greg Lindahl and Rich Kastner were closest to the pin and Tim Hubbard and Scott Johnson made the longest putts.

Whitefish Women
PEQUOT LAKES — Joyce Fleck, Myra Faust, Joi Brandt and Enga Wodziak captured the first flight title June 22 in the 3-2-1 event for the Whitefish Women’s 18-Hole League.
Helen McGrath, Teresa Nelson, Dorie Kaleva and Sally Ekman won the second flight. Nancy McEnroe, Faye Paulston, Luann Rickert and Bev Prueher won the third flight.
Richert shot a 67 for the low net round. Fleck carded two birdies with Faust, Cheryl Bontrager, Kaleva, Enger, Barb Holubar and Lori McCormick also making birdies. There were also six chip-ins during the event.
Pilot just misses
BECKER — Claudia Pilot of Grand View Lodge fell 1-up to usual playing partner and friend Brenda Williams of Windsong Farm in the semifinals of the championship bracket for the MGA Women’s Senior Match Play Tournament June 26 at Pebble Creek Golf Club in Becker.
In the quarterfinals, Pilot defeated Alison Hurly of Minnesota Valley 4&3.
Hole-in-one
Tom Johnson, Brainerd, aced the 133-yard 17th hole of The Classic at Madden’s Resort June 22 using a 7-iron.
