PEQUOT LAKE — Joi Brandt won in a scorecard playoff with Luann Rickert in the Wednesday, Sept. 7 game Mutt and Jeff for the Whitefish Women’s 18-hole League.
Connie Weber, who carded the overall low net round, placed third followed by Lori McCormick in fourth and Nancy Einen in fifth.
McCormick and Cathy Munger both carded two birdies while Brandt made one. McCormick also chipped in twice and Barb Holubar drained one.
Whitefish men
PEQUOT LAKE — Dave Nielsen, Paul Bellfuss, Gary Amundson, Duane Frion won the one best net and one best gross game Tuesday, Sept.l 6 for the Whitefish Men’s League.
Finishing second was Jim Bydlon, Bob Beatty, Bill Bell and Scott Johnson followed by the third-place team of Steve Ogren, Mike Fogarty, Jon Eide and Mike Carnahan.

Closest to the pin winners were Larry Swanson and Nielsen. Bydlon and Kirk Mahlen made the longest putts.
MGA net team title
PEQUOT LAKE — The foursome of Bill Pool, John McEnroe, Roger Weber and Scott Thompson of the Whitefish Golf Club tied for third in the MGA Net championships held Sept. 6-7 at Grand View Lodge’s Pines and Preserve Golf Course.
The Whitefish team fired a two-day Stableford score of 152 after firing a 75 at the Pines and a 77 at the Preserve.
A foursome made up of players from Olympic Hills Golf Club, Braemar Golf Course and Hazeltine National Golf Club won the tournament with 156 Stableford points.
Tying for eighth place were Glen Hasselberg and Randy Wilson from The Vintage at Staples teamed with JackBlesener from Grand View Lodge and Jeff Nelson from Bemidji Town and Country Club.
Holes-in-one
Mark Streed, Eagan, aced the 145-yard 17th hole of The Classic at Madden’s Monday, Sept. 5, using an 8-iron.
