STAPLES — Beck Erholtz finished fourth at the MGA Amateur Sectional Qualifying Wednesday, June 17 at his home course at the Vintage at Staples.
Erholtz fired a 74 to earn a spot in the MGA Amateur Championship which will be held July 13-15 at Edina Country Club.
Tanner Lane of Detroit Country Club was the medalist with 71. Jim Foss of Bemidji Town and Country Club and Lucas Johnson of Meadows Golf Course each shot 72 to also qualify.
Grand View Lodge’s Cody Evans also shot a 74, but just missed the cut. He will be the first alternate.
Jon Smieja shot 83 and George Fortier shot 84. Both are from Little Falls Country Club.
