BYRON -- North Dakota State University men’s golfer Andrew Israelson of The Vintage at Staples fired a three-round 210 to tie for second place Wednesday, July 17, in the 116th MGA Amateur Championship at Somerby Golf Club.
Israelson landed one stroke behind winner Clay Kucera of Chaska Town Course, who finished with a 7-under 209.
Israelson fired rounds of 71-69-70 for his 6-under 210. That tied him with defending champion Van Holmgren.
It’s the second straight year Israelson has placed second in this tournament.
