The best golfing team went to Ceirra Waverek, Ashley Money and Kayla Melby, which shot a 29 Aug. 9 at Cragun's Legacy Courses.
The smartest team on the championship side went to Mary Lippo, Katie Warwas, Janice Oakley, Kelly Gorvin and Ruth Norman, which scored 7 out of 9 in the trivia contest during women's night
On the Par 3 Course, Heidi Brown, Michelle Joyce and Megan Hoppe carded the low team score and also had the best trivia score by answering five of the nine questions.
Scramble night is scheduled Aug. 23.
Breezy Point women
Joi Brandt claimed the Breezy Point Resort women's league club championship Aug. 10-11 by carding a two-day net score of 66.
Other titles went to Sandy O'Day (gross) and Sue Skinner (net) in the First Flight. Brandt won Second Flight gross with Gloria Thomas taking net.
Martha Polsfuss (gross) and Judy Jenson (net) were winners in the Third Flight. Betty Huseby was low gross for the Fourth Flight.

Eileen Springer shot the low net round during the Black Bear women's nine hole play Aug. 12.
Vivian Palmer finished second with Dorla Lind, Cathy Switajewski tying for third.
Switajewski had the low putts with 15.
Fairways at Howard's Barn
Helen Silva was the winner of the total score on odd holes during the Aug. 11 women's league at the Fairways at Howard's Barn.
Helen Blatz finished second.
Mac Curtis sank a chip in.
Aug. 18 will be the start of the league's club championship. The event will start at 9 a.m.
GVL Outing results
Stephanie Murray, Doreen Robideau and Sandi Baker shot a 28 to win the Aug. 9 Mutt and Jeff event for the Grand View Lodge Women's Outing at The Pines.
Finishing second was Karen Williams, Joan Baker, Faye Ysseldke, Audrey Dietsch. Betty Ramsbacher, Joni Gutknecht, Stephanie Haider and Mary Ann Prenevost placed third. In fourth, was Carrie Spitzak, Pearl Peterson, Marian Duffy and Barb Elmquist.
Individual points winners were: Spitzak 12, Duffy 13, Williams 13, Joan Baker 14, Sandy Baker 14 and Ysseldke 14
Peterson made the longest putt. Joni Gutknect was closest to the pin. Joan Baker had a chip in.
Finnerty claims top spot
Casey Finnerty shot a 71 Aug. 3 at Madden's Pine Beach West to win the boys 13-15-year-old divisions.
The Crosby athlete was followed by Brady Raph of Pine River and his 73. Hunter Nybakken of Breezy Point placed third with a 78.
Jack Evans of East Gull Lake placed second in the boys 16-18 group. He shot a 1-under 66 on the par 67 course. Nisswa's Danny Olson placed sixth with an 81.
Anna Krieger of Fifty Lakes placed second in the girls 13-15 age group with an 89.

During the Warrior Cup Aug. 15 at Pebble Creek Golf Club, Finnerty placed 17th with a 77 and Cody Evans was 45th with an 84.
The Warrior Cup is a season-ending tournament of champions for those players who won a Minnesota Junior PGA tournament during the summer. Finnerty won five tournaments and Cody Evans collected one win.
Vintage Senior Open scheduled
The Vintage at Staples will host its Fall Senior Open 11 a.m. Sept. 16.
The $45 entry fee includes golf, cart and lunch with a skins game option.
The three groups for men, women and pros will all have net and gross divisions. The groups are senior (age 50-59), masters (60-69) and super seniors (70 and older).

The Brainerd Lakes Curling Association will celebrate its 10th year with a tournament fundraiser Aug. 28 at Cragun's Legacy Courses.
