Mills GM wasn't the week's big winner, but it beat Reichert Bus 24.5-19.5 June 2 to take the lead in the men's league standing at Cragun's Legacy Courses.

Mills GM's win, along with Shep's on 6th's meager 22.5-21.5 victory over Giovonni's Pizza, allowed the dealership to grab a 0.5-point lead.

Riverwood Bank, with its 31.5-12.5 win over Mid-Minnesota Federal Credit Union, was the big winner. The victory pushed it into the top 10 as Ryan Downs collected a 9-2 win over his opponent to lead the charge.

Legacy women

Ali Timmons, Tina Johnson and Kayla Melbe shot a low net 32 on Bobby's to win the May 31 scramble during women's night at Cragun's Legacy Courses.

Finishing second was Anita Travica, Nadine Fraki, Sandy Bauman and Pam Musielewcz.

Kari Anderson made a long putt and was closest to the pin. Evie Marshall sank a long putt and JoEllen Reeck was closest to the pin.

The team of Julie Iten, Karen Opp and Jane Winter shot 32 to win on the Par 3 Course. Winter was closest to the pin and Nancy MacDonald made the longest putt.

Queen of the night went to Fraki.

Breezy Point men

Despite beating Commander 10.5-7.5 June 1, Billy's Too still trails the league leaders by 1.5 points in the Breezy Point Resort men's league standings.

Pequot Tool 1 also knocked off Ace Hardware 10.5-7.5 to move into third place.

Kathy McTague, Verna Miller, Janie Pommer and Sylvia Schmitt won the June 2 net team event for the Breezy Point Resort women's league.

Shari Burns, Eileen Henderson, Colleen Rawlings and Bugs Schmidt placed second with Joan Burnett, Jorie Linder, Sandy O'Day and Gloria Thomas finishing third.

Whitefish women

Anita Stensby and a blind partner shot a net 60 to win Flight A of the June 1 best net ball for the Whitefish Women's 18-hole League.

Finishing second with a 64 was Helen McGrath and Barb Hanson.

Maxine Riches and Cheryl Bontrager won Flight B with a 62 with Rox Thompson and Mimi Swanson finishing second with a 66.

Myra Faust and Sherrie Adam teamed to win Flight C and Diane Giefer and Connie Weber placed second.

Joi Brandt and Judy Eastwood shot a net 61 to win Flight D. Ginnie Sitzer and Marguerite Baker finished second.

Stensby carded the low net of the day with an individual 65. Hanson finished second with a 67.

Birdies were collected by Stensby, Eastwood, Bontrager, Paula Gulliford and Giefer. Adam made a chip-in.

Madden's Women

Cierra Waverek-Kalli Funk shot a 44 to win the two-person best ball event June 2 in the women's night at Madden's Resort.

Jane Guild-Kathie Phillips tied Mary Chapman-Smith for second.

Phillips made the longest putt and Guild was closest to the pin.

Thursday's event will be a step away scramble 5:30 p.m. on the Pine Beach East Course.

Black Bear Women

Gloria Taylor, Judy Conrad and Susan Riley won the total team score and total team putts events June 2 in the Black Bear women's nine-hole league.

Eagle's Landing men

Carl Hendrickson's 70 held up as the low gross score in the June 2 men's night at Eagle's Landing Golf Club.

Nick Dahl followed with a 73, Brett Thompson shot 74 and Mike Caughey 76.

Dale Reberg shot 61, Chuck Shaw 62 and Bubba Nooter a 64 for the low net scores on 18 holes.

Nine holes low nets were carded by Steve Grams 30 and Chad Ploof 31.

Low gross for nine went to John Thielen 39, Mark Boone 40, Reed Hines 41 and Joe Bachan 41.

Eagle's Landing women

Theresa Goble and Peg Tautges each shot 47s for low gross honors in the June 1 women's night at Eagle's Landing Golf Club.

Vicky Shanks shot 49 for third low gross and also hit the longest drive. Laura Newman carded a net 29.

Pat Einerson made the longest putt and Lori Reuer was closest to the pin.

Eagle's Landing couples

The Shanks collected two proximities during the June 5 couples night at Eagle's Landing Golf Club.

Vicky and Gene Shanks both drained the longest putts. Sherry Reberg and Jeff Schulz hit the closest third shot.

GVL Outing results

Doreen Robideau, Sandi Baker and Cathy Saucier shot 22 to win the game "ones" during the May 31 Grand View Lodge Women's Outing.

Finishing second was Katie Wallace, Betsy Asturias, Sally Ekman and Kris McGrath. Barb Elmquist, Marian Duffy, Sue House and Chris Niemi finished third.

Jean Swenson and Saucier made the longest putts.

Israelson ties for sixth

Bill Israelson shot rounds of 76-74 to tie for sixth place in the Minnesota Senior Open Friday at Minnesota Valley Country Club.

The head PGA professional at The Vintage at Staples was six strokes off the winner, Tom Vizina of The Oaks Golf Course. Vizina shot 73-71.

Holes-in-one

Dave Modder, Thunder Bay, Ontario, aced the 117 yard sixth hole of The Dutch Legacy at Cragun's Legacy Courses June 2 using a wedge.

Stan Olsen, Nisswa, aced the 131-yard fifth hole of the Marsh Course at The Pines at Grand View Lodge June 2 using an 8-iron.
