Shep's on 6th remained in first place in the men's league at Cragun's Legacy Courses despite a 26.5-17.5 loss to .925 Silver June 15.

Second-place Von Hanson's Meats trails Shep's by 5.5 points following a 32.5-11.5 win over Sultans of Swing.

Edward Jones moved back into third place after a week's absence with a 31.5-12.5 win over Big Wood.

Eric Gangl scored 10.5 points for State Farm in its 27.5-16.5 win over Hy-Tec Construction.

Alex Stone of Crosswoods Golf Course topped Athena Yang of Edinburgh USA 4&2 in the round of 16 to advance to the quarterfinal round of the MGA Women's Match Play Championship Monday at Bent Creek Golf Club.

Stone faced Alexandra Stewart of Legends Club in the quarterfinals Tuesday.

The third annual Northern Lakes Youth Hockey Association's golf fundraiser is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Aug. 27 at Deacon's Lodge in Breezy Point.
