Von Hanson's Meats overtook Shep's on 6th to capture the first-half title in the men's league at Cragun's Legacy Courses.
Von Hanson's, which trailed Shep's by 5.5 points entering the final round of the first half June 22, scored a 31-13 victory over American National Bank to catapult to the top of the standings with 227 points.
Shep's finished the first half in second place with 221.5 points after losing 24-20 to Big Wood.
State Farm Insurance finished third thanks to a 32-12 win over Randall State Bank.
Tony Loosbrock provided 11 points for Frandsen's B&T Gray Team in its 33.5-6.5 victory over Next Home Horizons.

Legacy women
Anita Travica enjoyed a fine round of golf June 20 during women's night at Cragun's Legacy Courses.
Travica made the longest putt, was closest to the pin and had the least amount of putts on Bobby's Legacy to dominate the field. Jamie Clough also made a long put and Heather Bender was closest to the pin.
Jan Houle used the fewest putts on the Par 3 Course. Megan Hoppe sank the longest putt and Sharon Myhre was closest to the pin.
Breezy Point men
Billy's Fore soared to the top of the leaderboard after defeating DDJ 13.5-4.5 in the Breezy Point Resort men's league June 21.
Billy's Fore owns a 2.2-point edge over Billy's 3 team, which tied Farnsworth/Anderson 9-9.

Jim Wodziak used a hole-in-one to earn a closest to the pin proximity during the June 20 men's league at Whitefish Golf Club.
Game of the day was low net score and Paul Beilfuss carded the top score for the first flight followed by John Farrell and Steve Ogren.
Gary Amundsen won the second flight with Jim Rauenhorst second and Neil Mcewen third.
Dave Lubben captured the third flight followed by Steve Holubar and John Bruner.
Warren Kleinsasser and Farrell made the longest putts, while Bill Johander was the other closest to the pin winner.
Whitefish women
Members Cheryl Bontrager and Joi Brandt showed their guests Carol Doschadis and Chris Barnes a swell time June 21 as the foursome won the two-best net score competition during the Whitefish Women's 18-hole League's member-guest event.
Second place went to Connie Weber, Nancy McEnroe, Susan Smith and Susan Walstrom.
Judy Eastwood, Carol Pioski, Ginnie Sitzer and Sabra Otteson placed third. Cathy Munger, Jean Collins, Pat McKee and Mary Jo Schleif placed fourth.
Guests winning proximities were Susan Smith (longest putt), Sabra Otteson (closest to the pin), Teresa Nelson (closest second shot) and Jena Nelson (closest to the line).

Rauenhorst and Donna Balzer tied for the low putts title in the June 20 low putts/most putts competition.
Penny Resstal had the most putts.

Senior Open scheduled
The Fall Senior Open is scheduled for 11 a.m. Sept. 8 at The Vintage at Staples.
The $50 entry fee includes golf, cart and lunch with an optional skins game available.
There will be men's, women's and professional divisions. Those divisions will also be broken down into age groups with a senior division (50-59), masters division (60-69) and a super seniors division (70 and older). There will also be a net and gross pay out.

Brainerd chamber tourney
It's the 28th year for the Brainerd Lakes Chamber of Commerce golf fundraiser and this year's event is scheduled Aug. 16 at Cragun's Legacy Courses.
There is a July 16 early bird prize deadline for the five-person scramble event. Entry fee is $700 per team or $140 for individual. The fee includes a full breakfast, driving range, golf with cart, lunch and an entry ticket to win prizes.
Prizes will be awarded for first-, fifth-, 15th- and last-place teams.

Alex Stone of Crosswoods Golf Course was eliminated in the quarterfinal round of the MGA Women's Amatuer Match Play championship June 21 at Bent Creek Golf Club in Eden Prairie.
Stone fell to Alexandra Stewart 4&3. Olivia Herrick of Dellwood Country Club defeated Sarah Burnham of Rush Creek Golf Club 2-up in the championship match.
Holes-in-one
Darryl Beadle, Merrifield, aced the 155-yard 11th hole on the Lakes Course at Ruttger's Bay Lake Lodge June 21 using a 7-iron.
Barry Milbauer, Sioux Falls, S.D., aced the 96-yard ninth hole of The Par 3 Course at Cragun's Legacy Courses June 20 using a pitching wedge.
