Area Golf News: Whitefish men’s league announces winning team

PEQUOT LAKES — The foursome of William Pool, Keith Bettes, Bill Bell and Chuck Hicks captured the one net and one gross game Tuesday, Sept. 7 for the Whitefish Golf Club men’s league.

Tim Hubbard, Dave Puelston and Bill Johander placed second. Steve Ogren, Steve Holubar and Bruce Bissonette placed third.

Gary Kipling was closest to the pin. The longest putts went to Don Craig twice and Ron Kitzmann.


Whitefish Women

PEQUOT LAKES — Mimi Swanson and Cheryl Bontrager were the flight winners for the mutt and Jeff game Wednesday, Sept. 8 for the Whitefish Women’s 18-hole League.

Anita Stensby was second and Helen McGrath third in flight one behind Swanson. Pam Musielewicz and Nancy Schmidt finished second and third behind Bontrager in flight 2.

Deb Enger scored a birdie and Pam Musielewicz was the overall low net with a 67.
