The Whitefish Golf Club's women's 18-hole league will open the season 1 p.m. May 11 with a welcome back scramble followed by appetizers at Bogey's Grill.
The event is open to members and prospective members of Whitefish women's leagues.
The league plays most Wednesday mornings from May through the middle of September. Each week there is either an individual or team event with prizes awarded to the winners. There are monthly luncheon meetings, numerous special events , including cause day fundraiser, the Whitefish women's invite, Women of Whitefish (WOW) and a two-day club championship.
The league also offers a season-long match play tournament as well as a shootout near the end of the season.
Participation in each weekly event is by signing up the preceding week so no substitutes are needed.

Madden's women's league
May 12 will be the kickoff event for the Thursday night Madden's women's league.
The event will start with a refresher course at the Madden's Driving Range followed by pizza and refreshments at ParFecto on the grounds of Madden's Resort in East Gull Lake.
