PIERZ-Pierz and Aitkin split a doubleheader Wednesday with Pierz winning the opener 11-2 and Aitkin claiming the nightcap 15-9.
In Game One, Pierz's Michael Meyer was 3-for-3 with two RBIs, Noah Boser homered for one of hits two hits and Aaron Weber added two hits. Preston Rocheleau pitched a complete game allowing seven hits and two earned runs with one walk and eight strikeouts.
Sam Peterson was 2-for-3 with two RBIs and Wyatt Sanford added two hits for Aitkin.
In Game Two, Caleb Curtiss went 3-for-3 in Aitkin's victory. Wyatt Sanford, Peterson and Jeb Sanford each had two hits.
Matt Kummet and Kolton Eischens each had two hits for Pierz.
