Area Softball: B-H/Verndale outscores Pillager

VERNDALE--Sarah Moenkedick and Sydney Weniger each had two hits including a double to lead the Bertha-Hewitt/Verndale Raiders to a 13-8 Park Region Conference win over the Pillager Huskies Tuesday.

DL sweeps Cardinals

STAPLES-Lisa Kossan was 3-for-3 with a home run for Staples-Motley in the first game of a double-header with the Detroit Lakes Lakers in Mid-State Conference play Tuesday as the Cardinals fell 15-4 and 13-3.

S-M's Quinn Uhlmann went 2- for 2 with a triple in Game One.
