LITTLE FALLS - Linzee Gerads struck out two, walked one and held No. 5 St. Cloud Cathedral to three hits leading to a 1-0 victory for No. 4 seeded Little Falls in Tuesday's opening round of the East Subsection 6-2A playoffs.
Little Falls scored the game's lone run in the bottom of the sixth inning, when Katelynn Kaneski hit a one-out double and scored on Chelsea Moran's single. Moran finished 2-2 with a triple and the RBI.

PEQUOT LAKES - Kathryn Miska struck out 14 over five innings for the top-seeded Pequot Lakes Patriots, who eliminated the No. 8 seeded Crosby-Ironton Rangers 11-1
in Tuesday's Section 7-2A opening round.
Miska walked one and gave up just hits and one unearned run as she improved her record to 15-1.
Haley Wiebolt opened Pequot's first inning with a home run and Laura Squires went 3-3 with a homer, two doubles, four RBIs and three runs. Alex Kotaska was 2-3 with a double and Barbara Miller and Hannah Zimmerman posted two hits apiece.
C-I's hits came from Maddy Kertzman and Kaitlyn Johnson.

AITKIN - Amanda Kuhlmann belted a three-run, walk-off home run to give the fourth-seeded Aitkin Gobblers an 8-7 win over fifth-seeded Esko in the Section 7-2A opening round Tuesday.
Esko scored twice in the top of the ninth to take a 7-5 lead. Aitkin's Amanda Wiethorn led off the bottom of the inning with a single and Taylor Ehnstrom walked to set the scene for Kuhlmann's homer.
Kuhlmann finished 2-4 with five RBIs and scored twice. Kaley Considine had a pair of doubles and drove in two.
Rachel Curtiss pitched all nine innings f striking out four and walking one, while allowing 13 hits for the win.
