FRAZEE — Abi Martin hit a two-run double helping the No. 1 seeded Pequot Lakes Patriots to a four-run fifth inning, which they turned into a 6-3 victory over No. 2 seeded Hawley in Game One of the Section 8-2A Championship Thursday, June 10.
Kaitlyn Geschwill pitched the victory. She struck out nine and scattered six hits and two walks.
Maya Orvis was 2-3 with two runs and Taylor Sherack was 2-4 with two RBIs for Pequot, which will play Hawley one more time for the Section 8-2A title 2 pm. Friday, June 11, in Frazee.

FRAZEE — A three-run final inning lifted the top-seeded Pequot Lakes Patriots to a 10-8 victory over the fourth-seeded Frazee Hornets in the Section 8-2A loser’s bracket Thursday, June 10.
Kaitlyn Geschwill doubled twice and drove in two runs. Maya Orvis was 3-4 with a double and two runs and Taylor Sherack was 3-5 with a run. Kelsi Martini doubled and Maci Martini tripled for Pequot.
Morgan Eckes struck out six and walked two for the victory.

WAITE PARK — Halle Zupan hit a double and Emma Melby finished 2-3 for the No. 1 seeded Pierz Pioneers who saw their season come to an end with a 7-5 loss to No. 2 Annandale in the Section 6-2A Championship Thursday, June 10.
Emily Sadlovsky struck out three in 6.2 innings. He allowed seven runs on six hits and one walk.
Pierz finished the season with a 23-4 record.

Sebeka 10, BHV 0
Regan Ludovissie and Taylor Johnson collected the two Bertha-Hewitt/Verndale Raiders hits in a 10-0 loss to top-ranked Sebeka in the Section 5-1A Championship Thursday, June 10, at Brainerd High School.
The Raiders finished the season 11-14 overall.
