Area Softball: Pequot lands four on All-Mid-State team

With matching 10-2 Mid-State Conference records, the Pequot Lakes Patriots and Perham Yellowjackets each landed four players on the all-conference team.

Juniors Kathryn Miska (pitcher), Laura Squires (2B) and Haley Wiebolt (SS) and senior Hannah Zimmerman (3B) represented Pequot Lakes.

The Staples-Motley Cardinals finished fifth in the conference and junior Quinn Uhlmann (3B) and sophomore Lisa Kossan (2B) were named to the team.

Senior Maddy Hinojos (catcher) represented the sixth-place Wadena-Deer Creek Wolverines.

Senior pitcher and shortstop Molly McCusker was the Crosby-Ironton representative.

Perham's Allie Doll, Annie Ingebrand, Brittany Miller and Alex Lubitz were honored. Detroit Lakes finished third and Kyra Vagle, Hailey Sonstegard and Sydney Prussia were named to the team. Park Rapids placed fourth and Hope Johnson and Sydney Bynum were selected.

Area players receiving honorable mention were Casey Volkmann and Morgan Zeise of W-DC, Sarah Daly of S-M and Kaitlyn Johnson of C-I.
