PEQUOT LAKES - Kathryn Miska tossed a no-hitter and the Pequot Lakes Patriots swept a pair of five-inning games, 11-1 and 19-9, over the Staples-Motley Cardinals in Mid-State Conference play Tuesday.
Miska struck out 13 and walked four in the first game.
Haley Wiebolt went 4-4 with two doubles, three RBIs and a run for the Patriots. Madison Galligan, Emilee Buell and Laura Squires had two hits each.
Wiebolt's bat stayed hot in Game Two as she went 3-5 with two more doubles, three runs scored and two RBIs. Buell finished 2-3 with a pair of doubles and three runs, while Hannah Zimmerman and Taylor Crocker each contributed two hits.

PILLAGER - Jordan Carr pitched a three-hit shutout to lead the Bertha-Hewitt/Verndale Raiders to a 9-3 Park Region Conference win over the Pillager Huskies Tuesday.
Jordyn Glenz ripped a double for the Raiders, while Sydney Weniger and Madison Valley contributed two hits apiece.
Ashley Hanson was 2-3 for the Huskies and Madison Ruhl picked up the other Pillager hit.

PRB sweeps
CASS LAKE - Emma Mills finished the Upper Mississippi Conference doubleheader 6-for-8 with six runs, two doubles and nine RBIs and also pitched a victory as the Pine River-Backus Tigers swept Cass Lake-Bena 35-8 and 15-6 Tuesday.
In Game One, Annie Semmler went 4-5 with a double, two runs and six RBIs. Mckayla Riedel was 3-4 with a run, two doubles and three RBIs and Alexus Reddick was 3-5 with three runs, two doubles and two RBIs.
In Game Two, Cheyenne Swenson was 2-4 with two runs and two RBIs.
