MENAHGA-Ella Kilchesky pitched all seven innings striking out six and didn't walk a batter for the Pillager Huskies who opened their season with a 7-2 Park Region Conference win over the Menahga Braves Tuesday.
Kylie Woidyla went 2-3 for Pillager and Vanessa Peterson ripped a double.

NEW YORK MILLS-Katie Johnson contributed a triple, stolen base, drove in a run and scored the other run for the Verndale Pirates who opened their season with a 12-2 Park Region Conference loss in five innings to New York Mills Tuesday.
Haley Youngbauer had the only other hit for the Pirates and Jordan Carr was tagged with the loss pitching one and one-third innings.
