FRAZEE-Laura Squires went 9-for-12, tallied six RBIs, smacked four doubles and a home run for Pequot Lakes as the Patriots won the Frazee Tournament Saturday and the Staples-Motley Cardinals went 1-2.
Pequot's Kathryn Miska recorded a total of 20 strikeouts and gave up only five hits for the day. Taya Salminen relieved Miska to end Game Two against Staples-Motley who were no-hit.
Extra-base hits for the day for Pequot were by Barbara Miller with a double and triple, Miska with two home runs and a double, Cassandra Haman with a double, Alex Kotaska with a home run, and Maggie Miska with a double.
Extra-base hits for the Cardinals were by Lisa Kossan with a double, Sarah Daly with a double, and Quinn Uhlman with a triple. Uhlman went 3-for-3 against Frazee.

PARK RAPIDS-Annie Semmler went 3-for-5, hit two triples and tallied three RBIs for the Pine-River Backus Tigers who won one of three games Saturday at the Park Rapids Tournament.
Miah Hansen pitched all three games for the Tigers and delivered a triple and four RBIs. Lindsey Tulenchik was 2-3 with an RBI against Crookston.
