PIERZ-Kali Schirmers of Little Falls and Pierz's Chelsie Kurtz, Matthias Algarin and Beth-el Algarin scored multiple wins as the Flyers and Pioneers competed at the Pierz Invite Friday.
Kali Schirmers took first in the 100 and 300 hurdles. The Flyers' Mitchell Schirmers won the 100 hurdles while Nicole Schilling captured girls pole vault and Michael Meyer won boys pole vault.
Pierz's Chelsie Kurtz won the 200 dash and high jump, Beth-el Algarin took first in shot put and discus, and Matthias Algarin won long jump and triple jump.
The Pioneers' Brenna Andres won the 400 dash, Colton Kasper paced the 800 run, Emma Kroska won girls long jump and Carter Moulzolf paced boys high jump.
The Pioneers won 13 events in all. Their boys 4x200 and girls 4x100, 4x200 and 4x400 team were first-place finishers.

Pierz's girls team finished first while its boys team captured second. The Flyers received a fourth-place finish from the girls team and a third-place finish from the boys squad.
Pequot's Engholm wins 2
WALKER-Desera Engholm of Pequot Lakes was a two-event winner Friday at the Walker-Hackensack-Akeley Invite in the shot put and discus.
The Patriots' Britt Kratochvil won girls high jump.
On the boys side Addisoune Harrington took first in pole vault for Pequot.
