Area Track and Field: Giza paces Cardinal boys at Concordia

MOORHEAD--Max Giza won the 200-meter dash, 55 hurdles and pole vault to pace the Staples-Motley Cardinals boys team to third place in Tuesday's Heart O' Lakes indoor meet at Concordia College.

MOORHEAD-Max Giza won the 200-meter dash, 55 hurdles and pole vault to pace the Staples-Motley Cardinals boys team to third place in Tuesday's Heart O' Lakes indoor meet at Concordia College.

The Cardinals' Emmet Anderson also scored a first-place finish with his winning time of 10:38.90 in the 3200 run.

Jordan Carlson scored a third-place finish in the 55 dash.

Chase Davis was fifth in the 55, sixth in the 200 and second in the high jump with a 5-foot-8 effort.

Jeff Sundstrom finished third in the 800 run

The Cardinal girls finished sixth with Addison Lorber's third-place finish in the 1600-meter run leading the way. Lorber was followed by Kiera Dumpprope in fourth and Ashley Robben in fifth.

Abby Brown placed sixth in the 3200.
