COLLEGEVILLE — Ashley Kimman used a personal-best jump of 5-foot-4 to tie for second in the Section 5-1A high jump Wednesday, June 9, and advance to the Class 1A State Meet in the high jump.
The Pierz sophomore will be the lone Pioneers representative at state after tying with Spectrum senior Adrienne Foell for second. Kimman was also third in the 100-meter hurdles and seventh in the 300 hurdles.
Brekanda Lashinski was one spot behind Kimman in the high jump with a fourth-place 5-0 effort.
Brady Pawlu threw the shot put a fifth-place distance of 42-5.25 and Jonathan Cheney finished fifth in the high jump for the Pierz boys team.
