LONG PRAIRIE — Pillager’s Quintin Laveau finished first four times and the Pequot Lakes Patriots swept the Subsection 23, Section 6-1A meet Thursday, June 3.
Laveau won the 100 and 200-meter dashes, the long jump and was part of Pillager’s first-place 4x200 relay as the Huskies boys team placed third.
Emmet Anderson won the 1600 and 3200 runs for the second-place Staples-Motley Cardinals boys. S-M also won the 4x100 relay.
Pequot saw Cruz Magazzini figure into three first-place finishes. He won the 400 dash, high jump and was part of the winning 4x400 relay. Other first for the Patriots were Charles Schiessel (110 hurdles), Dawson Ackerman (800 run), Garett Griffin (shot put) and the 4x8 relay.
Pillager’s Jessa Kimman was a three-time winner as she swept the hurdles and then won the long jump for the third-place Huskies girls.

Aften Robinson won the 400 dash for the second-place Staples-Motley Cardinals.
Joselyn Rinio was a four-time winner as she captured the 100 dash and pole vault and was on Pequot’s winning 4x1 and 4x2 relays
Calia Chaney won the 1600 and sister Carly won the 3200 and Lydia Hubbard won the high jump for the Patriots.
