ALBANY — Jonathan Cheney and Ashley Kimman were triple winners for the third-place Pierz Pioneers in the Subsection 19, Section 5-1A meet Tuesday, June 1.
Cheney won the 300-meter hurdles, high jump and was part of the winning 4x100 relay with Diego Guillen, Kolby Brezinka and Zach Jones.
Jones won the long jump. Kolby Brezinka won the discus and placed second in the shot put and Ethan Kowalczyk was second in the 3200 run.
Kimman swept the hurdles and won the high jump with a 5-foot-3 effort. Brekanda Lashinski was second behind Kimman in the high jump. Maddie Lochner placed second in the long jump. Madison Poster finished second in the pole vault and the long jump for Pierz.
The top four individuals and top two relays advanced to the Section 5-1A meet Wednesday, June 9, at St. John’s University.
