PIERZ - Lane Girtz's walk-off hit in the bottom of the 12th inning lifted the Pierz VFW team to a 5-4 win over the St. Cloud Blue Friday.
Logan Lease contributed four hits for Pierz.
David Skiba pitched seven innings with three strikeouts. He walked two and allowed five hits and no earned runs.
Matt Tautges pitched the last five innings and got the win. He struck out two, walked one and allowed six hits and one earned run.
Pierz (1-2) plays at Sauk Rapids at 11 a.m. Monday.
