Area Volleyball: Cards blank Pirates 3-0

STAPLES -- Mackenna Bjerga posted 22 set assists for the Staples-Motley Cardinals in a 3-0 non-conference win over the Verndale Pirates Tuesday, Oct. 1.

Aubrey Brandt collected 19 digs and three kills and Alix Peterson finished with seven kills and three ace serves for the Cards.

Verndale’s Ashley Aarseth tallied 10 kills and eight digs while Tess Jones put up 14 set assists, seven kills and seven digs in the non-conference game.
