DULUTH-Kiaja Davies knocked down 14 kills and had four blocks for the No. 6 Aitkin Gobblers, who saw their season come to an end in a 3-1 loss to the No. 3 Duluth Marshall Hilltoppers in the opening round of the Section 7-2A tournament Wednesday, Oct. 24.
After dropping their first game 25-22, the Gobblers fought back to take the second 25-21 before losing the next two 25-16, 25-20.
Lydia Fellerman and Ramsey Moe contributed 12 and 10 kills respectively while Ally Ehnstrom tipped 19 set assists and Peyton Peterson put up another 18.
Aitkin finishes the season 12-14 having won six of its last eight.
