PLYMOUTH — The Lake Region Christian School Hornets suffered a 3-1 defeat to the Woodcrest Warriors in the third-place game of the Minnesota Association of Christian Schools state tournament Saturday, Oct. 31.
After dropping the first two sets 25-23, 25-18, Lake Region rallied for a 30-28 victory in the third set. Woodcrest finished the contest with a 25-14 victory in set four.
Amber Neubert was named first team all-conference for the Hornets. Teammate Tori Plemel secured a spot on the all-conference second team. Grace Kargel earned honorable mention consideration.
In the state semifinals, Friday, Oct. 30, Lake Region fell to the Rosemount Crusaders 3-1.
